To be eligible for BUDI95, you must be a Malaysian citizen aged 16 and above, have a valid driving licence and a working MyKad. Each individual will receive 300 litres per month of BUDI95 elgible balance (with higher eligibility balance available for e-hailing drivers).

As announced by the Prime Minister on 23 July 2025, Malaysians will soon enjoy RON95 petrol at a reduced price of RM1.99 per litre under a targeted subsidy scheme, with further details to be announced by the end of September 2025. The initiative will benefit about 18 million motorists, including gig workers and youths from age 16.
The initiative is designed to maintain fuel subsidies for eligible citizens while addressing subsidy leakages to ineligible recipients, including foreign nationals. Foreign nationals must pay the full market rate without subsidies.
