We are the preferred partner to our clients who sought our services in aviation technical services as well as possess the required expertise to undertake specific projects and new facilities.
To add to our wide repertoire of products and services, we started our aviation operation in 1978 and have since been the esteemed partner of international airline carriers and airport operators. PETRONAS Aviation has been established to further excellence in this sector.
Key Achievements
01: Project management partner for KLIA
The construction of Malaysia’s largest international airport and one of Asia’s central aviation hubs, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is reflective of the high standard of construction, design, operation and management that we are capable of. Completed in June 1998, it traffics 35 Million passengers and 1.2 million tonnes cargo annually, making KLIA one of the busiest airports and a shining example of the capabilities of PETRONAS Aviation. To date, we have designed and undertaken the contract management of all of our aviation fuel facilities of various size of capacity through our network.
02: United Nation (UN) Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) Peace-keeping force in Sudan
We were entrusted with the task of supplying fuel, construction of three (3) major fuel installations, developing new storage and delivery system at camp site to Untied Nation and African Union peace-keeping forces in Sudan. The mission involved delivering aviation fuel to 30 locations in the remote areas of Darfur, West Sudan. Despite the challenging environment, tight deadlines to complete the project and political unrest in the region, we have executed successfully.
03: Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (SGIA)
PETRONAS Aviation was appointed to conduct Operational Readiness and Asset Transfer services at the world’s fastest growing passenger airport, Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (SGIA) in Turkey. This involved all aspects of airport fuelling operations, including commercial, technical and human resources, HSE and an engineering review of the facility. The task was successfully completed in February 2008.
04: United Fuel Company LLC, Saudi Arabia (UFC)
PETRONAS Aviation is a partner in a Joint Venture company UFC with Saudi Arabians partners. UFC is approved by General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) to engage in into-plane (ITP) fueling services in King Khaled International Airport (KKIA), Riyadh.
