Speaking at the launch, Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Brig. Gen. Khairy Jamaluddin, said, “The Ministry is working hard to make the KL2017 a landmark occasion and a source of pride for all Malaysians. To this end, we are pleased with the generous participation from PETRONAS and TM towards making the KL2017 Games even more exciting with the attractive range of limited edition merchandise.”

PETRONAS, through its marketing arm, PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB) is also introducing a special edition KL2017 Kad Mesra with Touch ‘n Go, and PETRONAS Gift Cards, which are available at participating PETRONAS stations nationwide from 22 July until 31 December 2017. Through the KL2017 Kad Mesra, customers get to earn 3 times the PETRONAS Mesra points for purchases of PETRONAS PRIMAX 95 and 97 fuel from 22 July until National Sports Day on 14 October 2017.

Speaking about the collaboration, PDB’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Mohd Ibrahimnuddin Mohd Yunus said, “PETRONAS is proud to play a part in promoting KL2017 and to be collaborating with TM to extend the range of limited edition merchandise at PETRONAS stations. PETRONAS, being the Official Fuel Partner, will be supplying PETRONAS Primax fuel and PETRONAS Dynamic Diesel for the official vehicles to shuttle athletes and officials throughout the games.

The 29th SEA Games starts from 19 to 30 August 2017 while the 9th ASEAN Para Games will be held from 17 to 23 September 2017. Both events will take place at various locations around Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan, Langkawi and Terengganu.
