Aviation Jet A-1

PETRONAS Aviation supplies Jet-A1 to commercial aircrafts at various airports around the world.

Application

This kerosene-grade fuel is suitable for most turbine-engine aircraft as it has strong combustion characteristics and high energy content.

Specification

This Avgas meets the following specifications:

It has a flash point minimum of 38°C and a freeze point maximum of 47°C.
We adopt the latest AFQRJOS Checklist which satisfy two main specifications for Jet A-1 (UK MOD specification DEF STAN 91-091 and ASTM specification D 1655-16c.

Diesel

Application

Mainly used in diesel engine for retail and commercial sector i.e. passenger cars, light duty trucks, heavy duty trucks, prime movers and etc.

Specification

This diesel meets the following specification:

Malaysian Standard MS 123-3:2016 (for B0 until B7)
Malaysian Standard MS 123-3:2020 (for B10 until B20)

The diesel fuel may contain up to 20% (v/v) of Palm Methyl Ester (PME) complying with Malaysian Standard MS 2008:2014

Bitumen 60-70 (Asphalt)

Enhance Binder Resistance to Aging, Rutting and Cracking.

Application

Mainly use in road construction as a binder in Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) and as main component to produce bitumen emulsion used as prime and tack coat.

It can also be used as a blending component in the production of polymer modified bitumen / asphalt (PMB/PMA)

Diesel fuel may contain up to 5% (v/v) of Palm Methyl Ester (PME) complying with SIRIM MS 2008 and EN 14214

Virtual Pipeline System (VPS)

The first LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) solution provider using road trucks.

PDB now has the capability to deliver LNG using trucks fitted with cryogenic tanks, providing industries within Peninsular Malaysia that are not connected to the natural gas infrastructure with access to cleaner energy.

The innovative solution is part of PETRONAS’ commitment to environmental sustainability in facilitating the growth of natural gas usage in Peninsular Malaysia. Natural gas is the cleanest form of fossil fuel, which has lesser emission of carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, mercury and other particulates than coal.
