12 Lucky Winners Win Dream Vacations from PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad
Kuala Lumpur, 29 September 2015 – Twelve lucky individuals will soon be jetting off to their dream holiday destinations thanks to PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB).

The grand prize winners of the ‘Kombo RM5 Untuk Cuti Idaman Anda’ campaign received their travel vouchers, worth RM20,000 each,  at a unique prize-giving presentation held at The Square @ Publika.

The venue was transformed to resemble the departure hall of an airport, complete with directional signages, check-in counters and uniformed airline personnel in bringing to life the dream holiday theme.

“This campaign is about making dreams come true for our loyal customers. This is why we have brought the airport to our winners so we can personally give them a send-off and wish them a happy holiday,” said Shaharuddin Muhammad Sidek, Head of Retail Business, PDB who presented prizes to the winners.

“At PDB, we value the strong relationship we have with our customers and their satisfaction is central to our strength as a brand. Thus, we always strive to provide customers with good offers and attractive campaigns,” added Shaharuddin.
"The grand prizes for the campaign is very attractive but I never thought I'd win. This is the first time I've won anything so grand from PDB so I was quite overwhelmed when I found out that I won," said Michael Lau Sing Kee, 40, from Sarawak.

Lau said he would love to visit his long-time childhood friend in Melbourne, Australia, with his wife and three children.

"I've never been outside of the country. It would be good to catch up and have a long chat with my friend," said Lau, adding that alternatively, he may consider bringing his family to Langkawi or Tioman for a getaway.

Noor Azilah Hashim, 37, a government administrative officer from Kajang, Selangor, said she was considering Egypt as her travel destination.

"Right now I'm looking at a suitable time to go with my husband and two children. I've always wanted to visit their historical sites and this would be my first trip abroad," she said, adding that her most recent holidays were spent in Sabah and Langkawi.
As part of the contest mechanics, customers gained an entry every time they swiped their Kad Mesra upon purchase of any Kedai Mesra Combo with a minimum value of RM5.

A total of 800 prizes were awarded throughout the campaign period of 1 July to 31 August 2015, which included monthly as well as grand prize winners.

Aside from the grand prize of travel packages worth RM20,000 for 12 winners, monthly prizes of travel packages worth RM5,000 were awarded to a further 12 winners and consolation prizes of RM200 worth of fuel for 800 winners.

The campaign by PDB is among the many on-going initiatives introduced by the company to provide added value to its customers through its extensive retail network, which incorporates elements of one-stop convenience.
